You bad member you!
I do not like this 12-hour voting window. It is very shady... _________________ -Mike

I know, it seems like they do not want some people to vote. I wonder who that could be?? _________________ My Top Five Cedar Point Coasters: 1. Maverick 2. Magnum XL-200 3. Millennium Force 4. Top Thrill Dragster 5. Mean Streak

It won't matter...Soarin' should not even be in this round! Millennium Force is winning big already. _________________ If it ain't steel or wood, it ain't worth riding! |

Millennium ftw all the way. Im sorry, but I just dont think that Soarin is that great of a ride. Ive been on it, and truly, it was fairly uninteresting.
I had to vote for the hulk just because I like that coaster personally. _________________ -Andy

Soarin' over MF

I've ridden Soarin' Twice, one of the times there was a scratch in the film that kept bouncing around in front of me, seems that ride had lots of potential, but didn't come through. Even if you hate MF it's still better than Soarin'! _________________ --John |

I voted for Millennium. Not because I love it, but because I would rather ride it than Soarin'. The only great part of the Force, in my opinion, is the first drop. After that, I really just sit in enjoy the ride as if I were on the CP & LE Railroad. _________________ Next Amusement Park Trip (Hopefully): Florida Redux

I don't hate Millennium Force, but I strongly believe it is one of the most overrated rides I have been on. When I was in line for it for the first time, I was texting my girlfriend and she was making such a hype about it, and I was so excited to ride the thing, that I was kind of scared in my own little way, but when I got on and rode it, I didn't think it was all that thrilling to tell you the truth.
When I rode Dominator (when it was Batman Knight Flight at Geauga Lake/SFWoA) the year it opened, I didn't like it. I actually didn't think it was thrilling at all. But the year after that, it felt like the ride improved so much and it has/was my favorite ride at Geauga Lake since.
Last year was the first year I have ever been to Cedar Point, therefore it was my first time ever riding on MF. Maybe in 2009, the ride experience will be different for me and it could possibly become my favorite ride there. But right now, Maverick and TTD are my favorites. _________________ On opening day 2009, I'm gonna be half way to Dragster's entrance while everybody is still at the Main Gate! 4 DAYS! |

| Maverick is down by almost 30% right now against Revenge of the Mummy. This round the winner progresses to the final four. Lets get out and show some support. |

Maverick has a 70-30 lead. Keep it up guys. I'm going to continue to monitor the polls and as long as Maverick has a large lead, I'm going to hold off sending this out on the newsletter until the next round again. _________________ -Mike

RotM is a fun ride...but in reality I prefer high thrills on a coaster over a decently themed ride.
I also find it slightly humorous that all the people voting for RotM (don't get me wrong its a great ride) call it, "theming to its finest" - yet people have said that for every possible dark ride attraction in the polls. _________________ 2009 - Thunder Canyon, Camp Snoopy, Magnum XL 200, Maverick |

I personally enjoy the fact that Mummy gets voted over Maverick by some people simply because of the theme. So, a mediocre ride that has a great theme wins out over a great ride that has a mediocre theme? Since that would cancel both rides out on paper, wouldn't you have to lean towards the more thrilling of the two?
