   | | Administration Building: Built during the mid 1900's, this building housed directors and numerous departments that ran Cedar Point in the early years. Standing west of the massive Coliseum, the Administration Building remains today covered in vines and large trees that disguise this forgotten building from most resort visitors today. The exterior of this historic building has changed slightly from what a early resort guest would have remembered. |
| | | Cedars Hotel:Near the large Cedar Point Marina and perimeter road, a guest today could find the remnants of the original White House Hotel, which was built in 1901. In 1915, the hotel was enlarged, using the existing three structures, and was renamed the Cedars Hotel. The 270-room hotel also had a cafeteria and public rooms with cozy corners that were graced with Tiffany stained glass windows and wicker furniture. These stained glass windows remain today in the lobby of the Hotel Breakers. Today the building resembles much like it did in 1915 and is used today as a dormitory for seasonal employees of the park. |
| | | Midway: Since the early 1960's, the Cedar Point midway has changed in appearance. The grand Coliseum to the left has been restored to its original glory. The Sky Wheel (Double Ferris Wheel) in the center was removed in 1981. The ski lift-like Sky Ride was added in 1962, not shown on the post card at the left. |
| | | Pagoda Gift Shop: Originally built in 1908 as a checkroom, the Pagoda Gift Shop, has not changed remarkably since the 1960's postcard photograph. To the right a recording studio has been added. |
| | | San Francisco Earthquake Ride: Built between the Pagoda Gift Shop and the Coliseum, the San Francisco Earthquake Ride opened at Cedar Point in 1966 when the park purchased it from Freedomland, an amusement park in New York. The ride lasted until 1985 when it was replaced with Berenstain Bear Country. In 1999, Berenstain Bear Country was converted into Snoopy Boutique which sells PEANUTS memorabilia. |
| | | Sealand: Housing unusual animals such as sharks, penguins, turtles, and fish, Sealand opened in 1970 and pleased guests until 1998, when the attraction was closed. Since then, the building has been turned into an arcade named "Stadium Games". | (Page 1 IPage 2)
