We all know the
story. At the end of 2003, the Swan Boats were moved from Cedar Point
to Michigan’s Adventure. Everyone thought that the next major coaster
would take its place. The plans were for a B&M roller coaster. For
some reason, this coaster was not build. Why? No one knows. Maybe
budget cuts, maybe the world’s tallest and fastest coaster changed
things, or something else. Whatever the reason, I believe the time as
come to build this coaster.
The coaster would
be in, and above, Frontier Town. The plans I believe still
remain the same. The station would be located in between Cedar
Creek Mine Ride and Snake River Falls. Don’t think it would fit?
Think again. Take a ride on the train, Paddlewheel Excursions,
and then walk into Camp Snoopy and look at the area. There is
tons of room. The coaster could easily fit on Millennium Island
and in the Bone Yard.
So then why were
the Swan Boats removed? I have no clue. I believe they reason they
were removed had no relation to this coaster. The coaster could
travel all throughout Frontier Town and actually could have some
pretty cool element over the Swan Boat Pond, but no one is quite sure.
Now you’re asking,
so what are the markings by Mine Ride? I have no clue. It seems to
me they are marking an electrical line and possibly a water line
also. There are orange/red markings and blue ones. The markings
could be for the next coaster or they could just be for small
improvements for the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. However, it is early in
the year to see markings for just small improvements. Here are the
photos that you can view, make up your own mind about and then head to
CPForums.com and talk about it.
