We have been
speculating about an S&S Power Attraction coming to Cedar Point for
the past several months. The Point Online now has confirmed that an
S&S Power attraction will be built for the 2006 season. This is
proven in these photo:

Small shipments
have arrived from Logan, Utah, the home of S&S Power, containing some
extremely large nuts, bolts, and screws for the new attraction. These
shipments have been placed right next to the infamous blue tarp, which
conceals the top of attraction. Also in the area is a lot of wood and
rebar. The Point Online strongly believes the new attraction will be
a S&S Screaming Swing.
Over the week a
little bit more wood has arrived. I personally believe the wood will
be in some way related to the construction of the Swing, most likely
to add a slight theme to the ride so it blends in the area better.
The wood may be used for the station. However, it also could be used
on the Mine Ride, as the exit ramp will most likely need to be
diverted to accommodate the new ride.
The Screaming Swing
most likely will be placed in between the Mine Ride and
Snake River
Falls. If you are having trouble imagining that location, just think
that the ride will be exactly where the lockers are. The lockers then
will be moved to a near by location.

Last week I
reported that a large shipment would arrive, and I guess I was wrong.
I did however hear that the shipment did arrive and Cedar Point is
trying to hide it. The new pieces I have been told arrived on flat
beds and were placed inside of the warehouse next to
Breakers
Express.
I drove back behind Breakers Express hoping to find
something, and there really was nothing there. However, there was
what seems to be part of a semi-truck sitting there. I’m not sure how
long it has been there, but it is there. You decide on why it is
there.
Next week,
unfortunately, is Closing Weekend. That means I not only will have a
full report of what new parts are arriving, but also of what will be
done over the winter and what will be changing. The Point Online is
also preparing for tons of new articles on a variety of features
brought to us by our Editorial Editor. We also will be going to
Sandusky during the winter and seeing what really happens when the
park is closed. Is Route 250 really dead in the winter? Do people
actually go to the indoor water parks? The Point Online will be
bringing you pages of information on everything Cedar Point.
Remember, Cedar Point may close during the winter, but The Point
Online is open 365.
