SANDUSKY, OHIO, January 24,
2008 -- Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN), a leader in regional amusement
parks, water parks and active entertainment, today announced that C.
Thomas Harvie has been appointed as a Class I Director of its
general partner, with a term ending 2010. Mr. Harvie replaces Thomas
A. Tracy who retired from the board effective December 31, 2007. Mr.
Harvie has been appointed to serve as a member of the board’s
Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance
Committee.
Dick Kinzel, chairman, president and chief executive officer,
stated, “I’d like to thank Tom Tracy for his years of dedicated
service to our organization. At the same time, I’m excited to be
working with Tom Harvie who I believe will provide valuable guidance
and counsel for Cedar Fair in this challenging business
environment.” Mr. Harvie is senior vice president, general counsel
and secretary of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, having joined
Goodyear in 1995. Prior to joining The Goodyear Tire & Rubber
Company he was vice president and associate general counsel at TRW
Inc., where he had served since 1976.
